Early Morning Fog At Santa Rita Farm

Early morning on the farm is the best time of day. It's quiet and still. All the animals are happy to see me. The fog rolled in late last night. This morning reminded me of going out after a fresh fallen snow. So quiet and still. The sound of each drop of dew falling from the roof and hitting the leaves. Soon the horses will be fed, and all you will hear is the quiet munching of hay.

Sunset

He's of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger.... he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him, but only in patient stillness while his rider mounts him; he is indeed a horse. ~William Shakespeare

A horse doesn't care how much you know, until he knows how much you care. ~Pat Parelli

Thanksgiving with Friends

Thanksgiving with friends camping at Continental Acres in Weirsdale. Did a little riding, walking, sitting and talking. We brought our own Drive-In, and watched movies in the 30 degree temps. It was great having all our friends and their families together in such a beautiful setting. I'm thankful for good friends and my loving and generous family. This Thanksgiving will be one of the one's I will remember the most.

Abbey

I envy animals for two things - their ignorance of evil to come, and their ignorance of what is said about them.

A horse is a thing of such beauty... none will tire of looking at him as long as he displays himself in his splendor. -Xenophon
